Dura-Fab Photosensitive Stencils
Permanent, photographically-processed stencils built to last.
Photographically-processed stencils manufactured in-house on a tough lacquer base — built to hold up for thousands of marks. Available in four Dura-Fab constructions depending on how fine or deep your application needs to be.
Type Selector:
- DF (Dura-Fab) — Toughest of all electrochemical etching stencils; synthetic woven fiber base; recommended for stencil designs with features at least 3/32″ (character size 3/36″+ per spec sheet)
- DFF (Dura-Fab Fine) — Same construction as DF with a finer, closer fiber weave; ideal for fine lines and detailed artwork; handles line weight as low as 0.005″
- DFDE (Dura-Fab Deep Etch) — Deep etch version of DF; the most commonly used stencil for deep etch applications; also suitable for general use
- DFFDE (Dura-Fab Fine Deep Etch) — Deep etch version of DFF; effective for scales, lines, and grid patterns; blends detail with toughness; works well with inserts
Key Features:
- Manufactured in-house at Monode’s Mentor, Ohio facility
- Standard sizes: 2½” x 7″, 3¼” x 7″, 5″ x 7″, 8″ x 10″
- Custom sizes available at a premium
- Available as flat stencils (hand marking), cap stencils (mounted on a marking head), or insert stencils (plastic-framed, for machine mounting)
- Fabric available in red or green (green is more translucent for part visibility; red shows the impression more easily)
Good For: Component ID and traceability · Fine detail/artwork marking (DFF) · Deep etch applications (DFDE/DFFDE) · Custom logos and legends
