Hand Markers Pads

The pad is the reservoir: it holds and supplies the electrolyte that keeps current flowing between the marker and the part. We provide businesses with etching pages in 10 standard head sizes, four pad types, ordered by a simple code.

How to Choose
Etching Pads

Monode provides a range of etching pads to help address your specific marking needs.

M-Series Pads

are the standard choice for general hand marking.

Deep Etch (DE) Pads

are built differently on purpose: they're a fibrous material that, under slight pressure, pushes through the stencil's image area, keeping current flowing freely to the part. That pad has to stay saturated with electrolyte at all times, since a dry pad breaks the current path, lets the stencil overheat, and shortens its working life.

Screen Cloth (SC) Pads

pair with our legacy SC Hand Markers to support older equipment or preferences for older screen-style approaches.

Rocker (RP) Pads

are sized specifically for the two rocker-marker head sizes we offer, 2" x 2" and 2" x 4".
